Hi everyone!
Happy New Year - I'm a bit rubbish as this 'blogging' game, I'm sorry. I should've been on here a bit sooner wishing you all a 'Happy New Year', but hey, better late than never.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and here's to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012 for everyone.  Well, 2012 started with poor hubby hurting his neck which put him out of action for a few days, and then he went down with a 'rhume', which then he passed on to me! Wasn't his fault though, I think everyone in our village has it.  So, I cancelled a few appointments over the last couple of weeks to ensure I didn't pass anything on to my clients, but it seems I'm at the back end of it now, so off I go again, 'pampering and mending' !!

I'm going to be bringing you the wonderful Natural Face Lift massage (or, as it's also known) Facial Rejuvenation, shortly. I'm aiming for it to be offered from mid-late February.  It's on the website now, so you can read all about it and see what it's about. It's a great treatment and for those of you who are skin conscious or feeling as though you don't look as 'youthful' as you once did, but really don't want to go down the road of Botox/Fillers/Surgery, then this could be a great alternative.  I'm happy, unlike a lot of others, to give you some of the exercises to do to keep up the 'benefits' at home too once you've had the treatment, so you can concentrate on any problem areas (laughter lines, or jowls etc.).

Ok, I need to dash off, I'm going to the second of a Small Business Network meeting which is being held here in our locality by a successful business woman - Jennifer Iddon - who runs a B&B in the beautiful Rocamadour region, whilst being mum to 2 gorgeous twin boys ! how does she do it??!!

Hello all,
I've not blogged for a while, well, for a long while in fact. However, things have been slow in one respect (business-wise) and busy with other things (home, hubbie's work, making new friends), so time has passed so quickly and before we know it, it's almost Christmas.
I've done a few updates on the website and I'm focusing on the treatments that are the most popular (being massage and reflexology). I 'tested the water' with some beauty treatments, being fully qualified as a Beauty Therapist, but other than facials, nobody seemed that bothered with many of the others, so I've decided to concentrate on the massage, reflexology and facials, which I have to admit, are my favourites anyway!
The heated blanket has gone down and bomb and I've had to almost wrestle it away from some clients. They all fall asleep during their treatments and say that their treatments are 'heavenly' as a result of me using the blanket at this time of year (as most folks get me to set up in draughty spare bedrooms where no heating has been on in years'!).

I'm also branching out in the new year. I've been recruited by a UK based company to work as a transcriptionist for them. I'm still working at home and 'pampering the lot' will still exist, however a girl's gotta eat so until you come knocking down my door booking up my diary with treatments, I'll be taking on other work to keep me pre-occupied !

Merry Christmas to one and all. Hope to see you in the new year. Best wishes for a happy and healthy, not forgetting prosperous 2012.

So, it's holiday time ! Everyone is either away on holiday or everyone's here on holiday !!!  People either want pampering a lot, or not at all. I'm finding August an odd month so far.  There are those that 'do' and those that 'do nothing'  when they come away, and those that 'do' are the ones I thought might benefit from my expertise, but apparantly not. It seems the ones that 'do nothing' are the most wanting.  I have a theory, perhaps those that 'do nothing' when on holiday are the ones that 'do the most' when at home!!!

I'm keeping busy in other areas though, our garden is going nuts. We have in total around 10 acres here - fortunately half of that is made up of woodland, which we allow to take care of itself (only interfering when we need to take an old tree down for drying to burn, or if something looks perilous).  The rest is walnut groves and our fruit and veg garden around the house and barn.  We've done really well with the veg this year considering the heat of the spring, and wetness of July. However, not such a great year fruit-wise. We've had no raspberries and our redcurrants were teeny tiny. The plums (D'Agen, Reine Claude and Mirabelle) were all so-so and the grapes are all mildewy and blighty.  We're hoping to start planting the garden up in the autumn with new fruit trees - some apples and pears, and take out the two old peaches that are here (not good), and I'd love some blueberries too - so would Tony for when I make choc-chip muffins !!

Have a lovely August and stay sun-safe!

Don't forget, the next 'taster-day' is at my treatment room, here in Vargues on Friday September 2nd - bookings start at 9am and last treatment at 5.45pm (for the fifteen min. slots).

Well, today's the day my website went 'live' !!! still in the process of getting the business up and running, but it's nearly there now. Just got to get all my literature printed and distributed, but I'm on with advertising (word of mouth!).

Hope you all like the new site and I'll no doubt be 'tweaking' and adding to it over the coming months. Thanks for taking a look.

Today's the day I started the 'blog' page of my webiste (12th June 2011). I've been writing the website for about 2 weeks now in readiness for the launch of the business at the beginning of July.  I'm excited for the 'new beginning' and have been working hard to get it up and running, and already I'm thinking of a new treatment I can offer potential new clients.
So, to any new clients out there, in the ether, this is what I'm proposing. The new treatment is Facial Rejuvenation massage, which is a course of 6-8 treatments (to get the full effect). It is known as the 'natural face-lift' as the principal behind the treatment (ayurvedic) is that it reduces lines and wrinkles leaving the face looking younger and fresher (a natural equivalent to botox!).  However, to keep the effects, it is recommended that after the course of treatments, you have a 'top-up' treatment fortnightly to retain the effects.
The treatment has rave reviews and is preferred amongst those who are looking for a natural approach rather than chemical or surgical.
If you are interested in this treatment, please send me an email, or fill out the contact sheet (all information on contact page), to state your interest in this particular treatment. If enough interest is shown, I will start to offer this superb treatment.
For now, over & out !!
